As a first project -
Artifact Exchange: Exchange artifacts with a school in another part of the U.S. - like Michigan, California, etc., to see a bigger contrast with Alabama. Each class would prepare a packet of artifacts/clues about their community and send it to the partner class. When we meet (VC) we'll guess the location of each other's school. Students can select/prepare the clues. At the VC, students can explain how they arrived at their guess based on the clues given.

Book Study (lit. circles)
Chapter Project - each class adds a chapter and share their
version of the conclusion
Monster Exchange - change the drawing to fit the season,
snowman for January
Science Seekers - each class prepare science challenge questions. At the VC, they share their answers and how they solved them.
