¡Ayuda. Me pierden. Help! I'm lost.
__Class 1:__ The students find that they are lost and must get directions to the airport so that they can catch a plane back to the United States.They must ask some native students on the street to direct them to the airport.
__Class 2:__ These students find that their sponsor is sick and needs a doctor. They must go to the hotel desk and ask for medical help and then describe to the doctor what their sponsor's symptoms are.
Each class gets a chance to ask for help and tries to understand the answers in Spanish.

(c) Knowledge and skills.
(1) Communication. The student communicates in a language other than English using the skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The student is expected to:
(A) engage in oral and written exchanges of learned material to socialize and to provide and obtain information;
(B) demonstrate understanding of simple, clearly spoken, and written language such as simple stories, high-frequency commands, and brief instructions when dealing with familiar topics; and
(C) present information using familiar words, phrases, and sentences to listeners and readers.
Methods and Activities
Pre-Activities:
- Each class will receive both Problems written in Spanish through email from the participating teacher
- Students will translate both problems and then develop how they will answer the students who need the information as well as formulating questions to ask of the other class to solve their problem
- Students will practice both their questions and answers that they are going to speak in spanish
- Students will learn a group of vocabulary words that they will need to complete vc
Materials
- Spanish glossary or dictionary

Videoconference Details.
Time:
- Connection: 10 minutes
- Introduction and Hellos by both teachers: 10 minutes
- Actual Conversation and response time: 10 minutes per class
- Mute conference translate answers: 15 minutes
- Reconnect and see if students were able to solve their problems: 5 minutes
- Congratulations and goodbyes:5 minutes
***Students will:
- Students will prepare by learning necessary vocabulary
- Translate scenario and formulate questions to ask
- Ask questions of class in real time
- Answer questions in real time
****Teachers will
- Designate a spokesperson to ask their respective question.
- Each class will ask the question in turn and then teachers will assist with the group translation, and response. Each class may write their answer out.
- After time to compose their answers (mute conference), each class will ask the other to respond to the initial scenario and wait as the response is read by a designated student from the class. The teachers will designate their own students to repeat the scenario and read the answers
Upon completion of the reading of the answer, the class asking the scenario will be allowed to ask one or two complimentary questions (in spanish) to test the other class's comprehension - Time permitting only.
