Sites can connect IP or ISDN. ISDN sites will be responsible for their own line charges.
Learner Outcomes
We will address standards in Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies as stated in the lesson plans.
Methods and Activities
Pre conference activities will include making dioramas of our school community. Then sharing with others through VC. Then share information about our local community including: landmarks, industry, history/points of interest, animals, and restaurants. Close with a Jeopardy game assessing information learned and sending letters. We will convey the information through PowerPoint, discussion and question and answer sessions.
Materials
Pictures, VC equipment, dry erase boards for answering questions
Videoconference Details.
1st conference approximately 45 minutes (roughly 10 minutes per site)
Students will begin by presenting a diorama of school community.
Students will present the information and teachers will assist in the technical and planning aspects.
The students from each site will begin with a presention of their dioramas. After that, teachers will help students develop presentations using technology such as Photostory or Imovie. Information will be shared among group members and questions will be answered. The conclusion will be an interactive Jeopardy game and letter writing activities.
